Before joining Westham Capital in 2005, Mr. Wake served as EVP at Pleasants Hardware, in the retail, wholesale and manufacturing division of C.F. Sauer, a $250 million spice manufacturing and food services company. Mr. Wake had formerly joined C.F. Sauer through its acquisition of Tom Brown, a multi-unit retail chain serving the consumer home improvement market, where he served as President and was an equity stakeholder. As President, he positioned the firm for acquisition and was responsible for negotiating all terms and conditions of the sale and managing due diligence.
Mr. Wake has additional experience as a management consultant, advising closely held businesses undergoing change of control or management succession issues. Mr. Wake graduated from the McIntire School at the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Finance.
