Prior to joining Westham Capital in 2006, Mr. McClung served as a senior officer with the University of Richmond’s Development Office raising funds for the University’s $200 million capital campaign. At Richmond Mr. McClung was responsible for developing relationships with the University’s most generous supporters and identifying and managing opportunities to raise capital and endowment funds for the Robins School of Business, Jepson School of Leadership Studies, and the School of Arts and Sciences. In 2005 he received the Virginia Association of Fundraising Executives’ Rising Star Award.

He joined the University of Richmond having spent several years in higher education fundraising most recently at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and Virginia Tech. While at Virginia Tech Mr. McClung served as Assistant Director for the development of the $16 million campaign that initiated construction of the $50 million Holtzman Alumni Center and William E. Skelton Conference Center.

Mr. McClung graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Political Science and holds a M.B.A. from the University of Richmond. He is a director-elect for the Virginia Tech Alumni Board, as well as current President of the 11,000 member Richmond Chapter of the Alumni Association. Mr. McClung is a member of the West Richmond Rotary Club.
